Move Out Checklist

  1. Print the move out checklist below and refer to the attachment on the "Procedure for Vacating" page for completing the checklist.
  2. Use this sheet while you and your roommate(s) clean the house/apartment. There is also a place at the bottom for each roommate to sign.  Leave the completed list on the kitchen counter when you are finished.
  3. Please note, in cases where there is only one roommate completing the procedures for vacating & signing the checklist, this does not mean one person will receive more "credit" than another. The house/apartment must be returned in the same clean and orderly condition that you received it.
  4. If you feel certain roommate(s) took on the majority of the cleaning burden due to someone not participating, please provide a separate written letter explaining the situation in detail and bring this into our office. All letters that pertain to damages and/or cleaning must be turned into the office prior to the end of the lease agreement.
  5. We will try to take these situations into account when reconciling deposits to avoid any discrepancies in charges, but cannot simply charge more to one tenant than another because someone says they deserve it.  It usually helps if multiple roommates sign the letter.
